Welcome
Hi there and welcome to Brothers In Psalms! This is a site where we seek to get together as fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to look to God's Word and His Holy Spirit to give us all we need to live for our Lord Jesus, as children of our Heavenly Father. Want to know what we're about? Look to Jesus.
Jesus is Lord and Messiah. He's the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep in order to give us abundant life in Him. Jesus is the Only Way to the Father. Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega. He's the beginning and the end. Jesus entered into time and space, took on flesh, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary. Jesus spent His life living and fulfilling all that our Father calls us to - perfectly demonstrating God's perfect loving kindness, compassion and truth. Jesus gave up His life by dying on a Roman torturous cross bearing our sin and shame. Jesus took His life back up again by rising to bring us lost sheep back home. Come to Jesus today. Jesus is full of grace and truth and He's calling you home to Himself. Turn away from everything that's not of Jesus and trust Him as Lord and Saviour.
We're destined for eternity with Jesus in the New Heavens and the New Earth, but it's no accident that we find ourselves here and now. God has intentionally placed us here to love and reach out with the hope of Jesus, in the power of the Spirit, as He advances His Kingdom. While we're here, we're surrounded by fighting, but our fight is to fight the good fight of the faith. We're surrounded by war, but our war is not against flesh and blood, but against the evil forces of darkness. We're surrounded by weapons, but our sword is the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We're surrounded by "kingdoms" but there's only One True Kingdom: The Kingdom of Heaven. We're surrounded by "kings" but there's only One True King: Jesus.
Come along for the ride, as we look to beat our swords into ploughshares and our spears into pruning hooks, and to carry our crosses daily, in order that we might more effectively spur one another on towards love in Jesus, for His Name's sake.
